OK..tonight's beer adventure.. Lost Abbey Judgement Day. Yes, Judgement day. Judgement Day is an Abt/Quadrupel from Lost Abbey brewing in CA. 10.5 ABV. Picked up this 710ml bottle at Willow Park Wine and Spirits in Regina.
Pours dark red/amber with a thin white head. HUGE plum and raisin flavour and nose. Finish is long and sweet. Is there booze in here? Not really sure..it is hidden VERY well. Could be a sneaky one.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Trappist ales. This offering from California would hold up with most Belgians I have sampled. Very nice. 8.5/10.
