review: Erdinger Weissbier

Today's Beer Adventure: Erdinger Weissbier. 500ml bottle. 5.6% ABV. Purchased at Willow Park Wine and Spirits in Regina (I think). ~$5.50ish Served in my neglected Great Western lager glass. I really need a tulip glass for the Weissbiers and Trappists and such. Perhaps this weekend I will remedy that.

Pour is hazy golden orange. Huge, slowly dissipating head. Nose is peaches, coriander, cloves, bread, orange, lemon. It smells fantastic.

Flavour is fuzzy peaches, orange peel, light spice. Full, creamy mouthfeel.

Rating: 7.5 dogs. I really enjoyed this one. I do like weissbiers as IMHO they taste and drink as a "lite" trappist ale. This will be a regular in the Doghouse. If you like Hoegaarden, Rickard's White or any of the "white" beers, try this and realize how good Witbiers can be.
