review: König Ludwig Weissbier

Today's Beer Adventure: König Ludwig Weissbier Hefewiezen. 500ml bottle. 5.5% ABV. Purchased at SLGA in Regina. ~$4.00

Pour is hazy golden amber. Huge pillowy white head. Ample carbonation. Nose is bready, yeasty malt, a bit of citrus...lemon? Bananas?

The flavour is light and refreshing. The citrus notes are there as are some clove/spice flavours. Almost like a "Belgian Lite Beer". Medium bodied. A bit light for a Wiesbier, but very drinkable. This is a beer I have bought and enjoyed before and will again.

Rating: 7.0. Solid beer. Could be a bit more of .. well .. everything, but it is very approachable and enjoyable.
