review: Bushwakker Sodbuster Brown Ale

Today's beer adventure: Bushwakker Sodbuster Brown Ale. Offsale from The Bushwakker. 5.0% ABV.  $15.00/2L.

The pour is medium brown with ruby highlights. One finger of foamy head disappearing into lovely lacing on the glass. Nose is of roasted malt, slight hops, hint of chocolate, molasses?

Flavour is of malt. Malt malt malt. Sweet malt. Just enough underlying hops to balance it out and give a slightly bitter finish. Molasses again. Slight flowery hop flavour. Slight chocolate as well. This is an incredible session beer. A very nice brown.

Rating is 8/10 dogs. This is my "go to" beer when I need a break from the new and just want to drink something familiar. It's comfort beer.
