The pour is dark reddish brown. Derek exclaimed "Hope you enjoy your engine oil". Head is non-existent. No lacing at all. Nose is of black currants, coffee, dark chocolate, coffee, toasted malt.
Flavour is huge chocolate, cherries, vanilla bean, coffee, plum, roasty malt.. dry finish.
Rating: 7.0 dogs. Meh. It was good. Derek observed it may be good as an introduction to dark beer for the neophyte. Maybe? It was good, but there definitely is better.
